The worship concert at Calvary in Pacific Palisades was amazing. My best friend Heidi Koorenny introduced me to your music and I am forever grateful. Your talent and songwriting skills are off the chart. I am not sure why you are not more "famous" than you are, but I am GLAD to be anywhere you are singing! I was given 'Jordans Sister' to listen to by a friend 8 years and I never gave it back! It's on the phone, computer and in the car. Love the production. 'Paper Skin' is such a fantastic new turn. My 8 year old son loves 'Aslan'. It's great that our God is a God of Grace, it's a shame people don't extend it to each other - 2 down. We would love to hear you live in Oz. It's so sad, here in Germany we can't buy your records - only with very expensive imports and you have to wait about 2 oder 3 weeks to get the record... My fiancee and I will be joined together in marriage on July 18th of this summer. We're really looking forward to that day and what lies ahead on our path. We discovered your song, "I will show you love" - gorgeous and inspired. We live in the US and already have written to a person in Cyprus and a person in Australia for permission to use their music and they wrote each us back sent us out their music that we will be using in the ceremony. We thank God for having put these people and their music in our path. The young girl in Australia, Shisha Ashby, went to the point of ordering a notation program to transcribe her song and mailed it out to us. I was wondering if there was any way that you could direct us to sheet music for "I will show you love" -- the message is beautiful and it would mean a grat deal to us to be able to hear it on that day. I just heard you play at the Arts conference at Willow Creak this past weekend, and I have to tell you that your music truly moved me. What spoke to me most this weekend was the story behind "Pray," and the story about Mother Theresa refusing to pray for clarity for a man, but rather that he should just trust. Upon further reading, I found that this man is a professor at a university in my hometown. God used you to teach me an important lesson while at a crossroads in my life, a lesson that I know will guide me for years to come. He went beyond conventional methods and teaching me in a place far from home, when the lesson was in my back yard.
Thank you for your work, and I look forward to listening to your music. May God continue to bless your life, as you have been a blessing to countless others.

Do you remember saying this during an interview with "Cross Rhythms"? I think it is great and so true:
"When I sit down to write a song," Kendall says, "I'm not trying to write a hit and I'm not trying to write what I think everyone else wants to hear. For me, the process of writing is wrapped up in the challenge of coming before God and saying, 'I'm here to be raw before you, and I'm here for you to change me and use me.' I really think with all my heart that lyrics and music are God given and that most of the time we're just vessels through which they flow. That's why I'm most effected by a song when the writer has the guts to be real and honest. That quality touches me, and I hope I can reach other people that way too."

Greetings to you. I came across your music while browsing iTunes for a song to dance to with my father at my wedding. I burst into tears, exclaiming to my fiancee after a long search that "this is the one!" Anyhow, he looked at the name Kendall Payne, recognized it from Lilith Fair and then promptly rain upstairs and grabbed his autographed copy of "Jordan's Sister." Apparently he has seen you twice and met you both times. He didn't even realize you had a new album out and had wondered if you were still performing, thining you had left the industry. Anyhow, amazing how life comes full circle. Then I laughed when I looked at the iTunes recomendation of "Listeners also bought..." because it included Over the Rhine's "Drunkard's Prayer" which has the song we are dancing to as a couple on it. Eerie. Thanks again.
